About Wildwood Rangers
We are archers, coaches, bowyers and equipment makers with more than five years of hands-on involvement across field archery. Based in Bookham, we help people discover, enjoy and progress in archery throughout Surrey and Sussex.
Built by archers, for archers
Our experience comes from shooting, coaching, running archery sessions, designing and maintaining equipment, making bows and arrows, and helping people find setups that suit them. That practical background shapes every course, workshop and piece of advice we provide.
We support curious beginners, returning archers and experienced shooters, as well as families, schools, organisations and corporate groups. Our approach is encouraging, adaptable and grounded in safe, enjoyable progression.
We do not use a one-size-fits-all approach. Bow choice, arrow specification, coaching and equipment advice are considered around the individual archer and their intended use.

Why archery?
Archery is a low-impact and highly adaptable sport. Bow weight, target size and shooting distance can be adjusted to suit different abilities, while regular practice supports strength, balance, coordination, focus and confidence.
Coaching with purpose
Progress is often visible quickly—from tighter arrow groups to more consistent technique. Our coaches create supportive sessions where people can build sound fundamentals, refine their form and enjoy the experience of shooting outdoors.

Team qualifications and experience
Qualifications and certifications across the team include bushcraft and survival, Archery GB Session Coach, NFAS Archery Coach and Level 4 Bowyer expertise specialising in traditional archery equipment and handcrafted bows.
